Matt's work has appeared in Chicago magazine, and at Narratively, USA Today, the Times Union, The Orange County Register, and MarketWatch. He covered several criminal and civil trials in Los Angeles for Courthouse News, including the Grim Sleeper serial murders and the Blurred Lines copyright case.
He is a graduate of UCLA's Professional Program in Screenwriting and the University of Westminster in London where he was taught by Terry Gilliam regular Tony Grisoni (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Tideland).
Matt graduated from Medill's master's program in journalism in the fall of 2019, and is currently a Legal Affairs Writer at the ABA Journal in Chicago.
